How much does it cost to move an upright piano?

Moving an upright piano starts from 39,000 HUF, with a surcharge of 5,000 HUF per floor.

How much does it cost to move a grand piano?

Moving a grand piano starts from 59,000 HUF, with a surcharge of 9,000 HUF per floor. For harpsichords and other large instruments we give an individual quote.

Do you move pianos to upper floors?

Yes, we also move to upper floors; our prices include a per-floor surcharge (+5,000 HUF per floor for upright pianos, +9,000 HUF per floor for grand pianos).

Do you move pianos to the countryside?

Yes, we work with nationwide coverage. Outside Budapest but within Pest County we charge +6,000 HUF, outside Pest County +250 HUF/km.

Do you work on weekends?

Yes, we move instruments seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays.

Is the instrument insured during transport?

Yes, our company has general liability insurance, which covers damage that may occur during transport.

How long have you been moving pianos and instruments?

Since 1995, as a third-generation family business.

How much does an upright piano weigh, and do I need to prepare for the move?

An upright piano typically weighs 150–300 kg. It is worth measuring the staircase and the doors in advance, clearing the top of the instrument, and sending photos of the site.

When should I have the piano tuned after moving?

It is generally worth waiting a few weeks after the move so the instrument can adapt to its new place, and only then calling a tuner. Tuning is done by a separate expert; we do not offer it.

How much does piano moving cost within Pest County?

Outside Budapest but within Pest County, the surcharge on the base price is +6,000 HUF. Example: an upright piano from ground floor to ground floor from Budapest to Budaörs is 39,000 + 6,000 = 45,000 HUF.

Do you move other instruments, not only pianos?

Mainly pianos and upright pianos, but we also take harpsichords and other large instruments on an individual quote basis. Call us and we will discuss it.

What do I need to give for a quote?

The instrument type, the pick-up and delivery addresses, the number of floors, whether there is a lift, the preferred date and, if possible, a few photos of the site.
