When do we give an individual quote?

For harpsichords, especially large or heavy instruments, and exceptional site conditions (for example a very narrow staircase) we give an individual quote. Send us the type of your instrument and the conditions of the site, and we will prepare an exact quote.

What does the price of piano moving depend on?

• The type of instrument: an upright piano is smaller and lighter, a grand piano is larger and heavier, so it costs more.
• The number of floors: we charge a surcharge for each floor, +5,000 HUF per floor for upright pianos and +9,000 HUF per floor for grand pianos.
• Distance: within Budapest the base price is the same; outside Budapest but within Pest County it is +6,000 HUF, outside Pest County +250 HUF/km.
• Site conditions: a narrow staircase, a long carrying distance or hard access can affect the price.

Price examples (gross, indicative)

• Upright piano, ground floor, within Budapest: 39,000 HUF
• Upright piano, within Budapest, 3 floors surcharge: 39,000 + 3 × 5,000 = 54,000 HUF
• Grand piano, ground floor, within Budapest: 59,000 HUF
• Grand piano, within Budapest, 2 floors surcharge: 59,000 + 2 × 9,000 = 77,000 HUF
• Upright piano, ground floor, between Budapest and Pest County: 39,000 + 6,000 = 45,000 HUF

We agree on the exact amount for the floor count and the lift during the call.
